Barnaby's Budgeting Tips: Day 27

It's almost the end of our Great British Budget challenge - how have you found it? We'd love to hear from you about how you've been getting on! Today's tip from Barnaby is all about getting into good habits and keeping impulse buying at bay.

Barnaby says:

"Have you tried the Thirty Day Rule? It can be a great way to cut back on impulse purchases if you're trying to save up for something special. Every time you want to make an unnecessary "impulse" purchase, put it on your Thirty Day List - this can be a physical list or in your head. If you still want it after thirty days you can buy it, and if you don't you can put the money you would have spent into savings instead. You may even find that you simply forget about the things you didn't really need!"

Have you tried setting little rules for yourself, and do you find that they work? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
